The fist day of the rally is a fairly decent trundle through France into Bern. It should take you most of the day to get there if you don't hang around too much and most of the night if you do. The route through France as always is pretty flat so its best to get in with enough time to have a look around Bern before getting down to business in the evening.
The challenge for the day will be designed to keep you on the move and we seriously recommend keeping your stops to a minimum.
